VTG PIERRE-AUGUSTE RENOIR PAINTING DANCE IN THE COUNTRY BLUE ORANGE SCARF

Silk scarf with hand rolled edges with a print of a Pierre-Auguste Renoir's painting, 'Dance in the Country' painted in 1883. It is of a couple dancing under a chestnut tree, with the man identified as Paul Lhôte (a friend of Renoir) and the woman as Aline Charigot, who later became Renoir's wife. The scene is bright and cheerful with details like a dropped hat suggesting a moment of carefree enjoyment during the dance. 

This can be worn as a scarf, neckerchief, bandanna or hung up as a piece of art. Gently used, like new.
